Smarter Writing Tools

Apple’s new Writing Tools use advanced language features to help you write better, no matter where you’re typing. Whether you’re summarizing a long lecture, keeping group messages short, or getting rid of distractions with important notifications, these tools make it simple.

Stay Focused with Priority Notifications

Apple is also making notifications smarter. Priority notifications will show up at the top of your stack, so you know what to focus on. For example, if you have an important email or a flight reminder, it will automatically appear first.

Record and Transcribe Calls

A new feature lets you record live calls in the Notes or Phone apps. After the call, Apple Intelligence can create a summary of the transcript so you can quickly review the most important parts.

Reducing Interruptions

If you’re tired of too many notifications, Reduce Interruptions is here to help. This tool figures out which notifications might need your attention, like a message about picking up your child, and only shows the ones that matter.

Smart Email Replies

Apple Intelligence can also help with emails. Smart Reply offers quick suggestions for answering emails. It can even find questions in the email and suggest responses, so you can reply faster and include the right information.

Fun and Custom Images

Apple is making it easier to be creative with Image Playground. You can create fun, unique images based on descriptions or even turn a sketch into a related image with Image Wand. Want a custom emoji? You can use Genmoji to create one that matches a conversation or even looks like someone from your Photos.

In the Photos app, you can create a custom memory movie by describing the story you want to see. Apple will find matching photos and videos, creating a movie with chapters and themes for you.

You can also clean up your photos by removing distractions. Apple’s tool identifies objects in the background so you can get rid of them with a simple tap.

Siri Gets Smarter

Siri is getting major upgrades with Apple Intelligence. It’s now better at understanding what you’re asking and can help you across apps. For example, if you get a friend’s address in a text, Siri can quickly save it to their contact card.
